You are also reminded that you are set up in reverse by the presence of a glowing indicator light.

Cutting Bits

One must never forget that a ride-on mower is built for cutting and therefore capable of chopping off hands and feet, in fact anything that gets in the way of the swirling blades. The machine is also capable of throwing objects.

Always remember that failure to observe the safety rules could result, and on occasions in the past, has resulted, in serious injury, and sometimes even death to the operator. On occasions even an onlooker is not immune to the possible consequences of neglecting the safety instructions.

In an attempt to keep you alive and injury free when using your ride-on mower, and to help make sure your still alive and kicking when next winter comes around, here are three bits of advice you might like to consider.

1: Keep hands and feet well away from rotating parts or under the machine. Also remember to keep well away from the discharge opening.

2: The machine should only be operated by a responsible adult and never a child. Never allow anybody to operate the machine that is not familiar with the safety instructions.

3: Before the commencement of cutting the grass, make doubly sure that the area is clear of anything that can be thrown by the blades of the machine such as, rocks, toys, lengths of wire, clothes pegs, etc.

Follow these basic instructions and have yourself a safe day.
