Recipe for Cheesy Bacon Bagel Bites

What You Need

4 medium tomatoes 6 slices cheddar cheese 6 bacon strips 1 dozen mini bagels 4 Tablespoons butter or margarine Onion powder Garlic powder

How to Make It

Preheat broiler to 525 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rinse and drain the tomatoes and then cut them into slices of about 1/8 inch in thickness. Set aside until needed.

Unwrap and then cut the cheddar cheese slices into quarters forming four small squares of cheese. Set aside until needed.

Cut the bacon strips evenly into four separate sections creating 24 small squares of bacon. You can do this with a knife or while using sharp kitchen shears. Set aside until needed.

Slice each of the mini bagels into equal halves. Spread the cut side with butter, margarine, or olive oil. Sprinkle small amounts of onion powder and garlic powder over each of the bagel halves.

Place one slice of cheddar cheese on top of each bagel half. Add one slice of tomato and then add a square of bacon. Repeat pattern until assembling 24 cheesy bacon bagel bites.

Arrange the bagel bites on a baking sheet just a few inches apart. Place baking sheet into the preheated broiler on the top rack. Broil until the cheese melts and the edges of the bacon are browned and crispy. Remove from heat and allow the appetizers to cool before serving to family and friends.
